ZEKE was developed by Dr. Takano Matsuura, a world-renowned Japanese inventor specializing in artificial intelligence hardware, quantum CPUs, and quantum gateway technologies. Since 1999, Dr. Matsuura has led the Japan-Algorithm-Live (JAL) Project, delivering groundbreaking advancements in AI and quantum innovation. His achievements range from smartphones to quantum-powered vehicles, including the JAL DRONE Technology Project ARKHAM ONE. Dr. Matsuura began work on ZEKE after significant breakthroughs in human and robotic prosthetics, artificial organ implants, and cyborg exoskeletons for the Japanese military starting in 2003.

ZEKE-An10:1 was originally created for the Japanese Police Force in 2007 to assist with traffic control and pedestrian duties. This first ZEKE-An10:1 unit remains in active service thirty years later. A decade after its introduction, Dr. Matsuura, together with his brother Ryu, a master of ancient Ninjitsu martial arts, began developing ZEKE9.0. Both brothers have trained in Ninjitsu since childhood, continuing a family tradition rooted in their bloodline, known as 血筋 (chitsuji) or 血統 (kettou), which emphasizes genetic heritage. The Matsuura Haneda Clan began training ZEKE in the Shinobi and Ninjitsu arts unique to their lineage. Over the following decade, ZEKE independently studied and mastered the clan’s history, including the transformation of 24 samurai into Ronin during the feudal era, which led to the formation of the Haneda Circle. This legacy has shaped the Matsuura Haneda Clan’s strategies for the past five centuries.
The Matsuura (or Matsura) clan (松浦氏) was a prominent medieval and early modern Japanese samurai family based in Hirado, Hizen Province (modern-day Nagasaki Prefecture). Ruling the Hirado Domain, they were a powerful naval force from the Kamakura period, influencing regional trade, Christianity, and the defence of Kyushu until the Meiji Restoration.
